Dr. Yun Zhao is a researcher specializing in biomedical imaging, Generative AI, and computational neuroscience. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sydney and a part-time Research Fellow at Monash University. With a Ph.D. from Monash, his work focuses on medical imaging, mathematical modelling, and parameter estimation.
My research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computational mathematics, and biomedical imaging. Currently, I am focused on enhancing Positron Emission Tomography (PET) by applying Generative AI and Bayesian inference to improve kinetic modelling and image quality. Beyond imaging, I investigate computational neuroscience, using statistical machine learning to model brain dynamics, analyze cortical stability, and monitor conditions such as focal seizures and changes in consciousness.
