Hiba Khurshid
Biography
Hiba Khurshid is a PhD student at Monash university. She completed her BS in Computer Science at LUMS, Pakistan. She is broadly interested in digital health and hopes to work at the intersection of technology and healthcare innovation. Outside of academia, Hiba is an avid traveller who loves discovering new cities, cafés, and cultural experiences. In her free time, she’s equally happy binge-watching English and Korean TV shows, dissecting storylines, or exchanging recommendations with friends.
Research Interests
Her research focuses on translational AI, with a strong emphasis on human-centred approaches that support real-world health and wellbeing. She is particularly interested in how intelligent systems can be designed, evaluated, and deployed in ways that genuinely serve the people they are meant to help rather than functioning as abstract technical solutions. Hiba has worked on personalising digital coaching for individuals on the autism spectrum, investigating how AI-driven systems can adapt to individual preferences, delivering support that is both tailored and accessible. This work has strengthened her commitment to designing technology that meaningfully aligns with human behaviour and lived experience.
