Jiahe Liu is a PhD student at Monash University working on multimodal artificial intelligence for neurology and mental health supervised by A/Prof Levin Kuhlmann and A/Prof Zongyuan Ge. Her work spans clinical prediction, digital biomarkers and medical imaging analysis. She works across epilepsy, ALS, and psychophysiological health, collaborating closely with clinical and industry partners. Jiahe has published across medical AI and contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives integrating neuroscience, engineering and clinical research.
Jiahe’s research focuses on multimodal artificial intelligence for diagnosis and prognosis in neurology and mental health. Her work includes synthesising and aligning missing MRI modalities to improve drug-outcome prediction, developing speech- and EMG-based digital biomarkers for ALS progression, and integrating skin, sleep and psychological measures to model psychophysiological well-being. She aims to build reliable and clinically meaningful AI systems that support personalised patient care.
